The launching of Patek Philippe & Co.... A short history
Back in the 18th century watch is an essential part of people's life. A guy from a Polish descent named, Antoni Norbert Patek a watchmaker started his early creations during 1839. Antoni Norbert Patek is a tiny watch creator back at those times. His love for watches brought him a friend and a ally Franciszek Czapek an immigrant to his hometown Poland. Their partnership moved on for years up to 1844 when they apt to go different ways. A year later Antoni Norbert Patek found another partner named Adrien Philippe.
Adrien Philippe is a watchdesigner from France. Adrien Philippe also invented the so called "keyless winding mechanism". Because of their very good chemistry and their unparalleled watch making ability, after about a year, they decided to introduce their company named after them, the Patek Philippe and Co.
Because of their ability they were able to launch their first wristwatch in 1868. Their watches have unique intricacies. Intricacies that named them a pioneer for complicated, exact, and unique watches. Patek Philippe stuffed their watches with enormous features- they created the prepetual calendar, chronograph, a very distinctminute repeater and split seconds hand.
While other Swiss manufacturers on their time introduced mostly mechanical. Patek Philippe also intoduced mechanical movements of the auto and manual wind variations. Patek Philippe also introduced quartz watches and sooner on they even started to launch digital wristwatch (the Patek Philippe Ref. 3414). The Patek Philippe is well known for it's exclusive uniqueness. The Patek Philippe Co. did not relied their timepieces to other watch manufacturers, instead, Patek Philippe created their own watch parts and pieces.
Until now Patek Philippe collection retains the highest high bidded object auction around the world. Both Antoni Norbert Patek and Adrien Philippe achieved their way to timepieces industry.
Patek Philippe collections has it's own museum at Geneva. Nowadays, The Patek Philippe company is managed by Stern Clan - Philippe Stern and his Son retains to pass and maintain the legacy of Patek Philippe timepieces.
